PRP SKIN (VAMPIRE FACIAL)
At The Wright Allure, the Patelet Rich Plasma (PRP) facial is also known as the vampire facial. It is an advanced skin treatment that uses your own blood to rejuvenate your skin. PRP is full of important growth factors. This treatment combined with SkinPen microneedling is a powerful skin treatment for conditions such as wrinkles, scars, and large pores. Expect to see an overall improvement to skin quality and texture. Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy) will stimulate your skin's natural ability to repair itself. It will trigger collagen and elastin production in your skin revealing vibrant and glowy skin. Johanna uses the SkinPen. It is the only Health Canada and FDA approved medical device currently on the market for microneedling.

Exosomes
Revolutionize your skincare and hair restoration journey with our latest addition to the menu: Exosome Therapy.
Exosomes, tiny particles naturally produced by cells, have emerged as the forefront of scientific breakthroughs in regenerative medicine. These microscopic messengers play a pivotal role in cellular communication, orchestrating the body's healing responses and rejuvenating processes.
Our Exosome Therapy taps into the regenerative potential of these powerful nanovesicles. Derived from mesenchymal stem cells, they carry a payload of growth factors, cytokines, and genetic materials, essential for tissue repair and cellular regeneration. By delivering these potent signalers directly to the skin and scalp, we initiate a cascade of rejuvenation, promoting collagen production, stimulating hair growth, and revitalizing skin cells.
Whether as an add-on to microneedling or PRP treatments, Exosome Therapy amplifies the efficacy of your skin and hair treatments!
Platelet Rich Plasma FAQs
What Is PRP?
Our body has the ability to heal itself. Platelet-rich plasma is a regenerative therapy that utilizes the natural growth factors your body uses to heal tissue. PRP promotes collagen production, regenerates the skin tissue, and essentially re-energizes your cells into rejuvenating themselves. PRP softens fine lines and wrinkles, tightens the skin, and improves skin tone and texture. Johanna offers PRP skin and PRP hair treatments.
What Is Plasma And What Are Platelets?
Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. Platelets are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth healing functions. Platelet activation plays a key role in the body's natural healing process.
How Does PRP Work?
PRP treatments are prepared by Johanna. She will draw a small sample of your blood and place it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. Not all PRP is the same. Johanna uses the highest quality PRP tubes available on the market. These tubes are validated to produce 96% platelet recovery. This allows you to have the most optimal results. These activated platelets are then reinjected, and/or micro-needled back into the skin.
Is It Painful?
Some mild discomfort may be felt while the PRP is being reinjected. The sensation typically felt is a burning or tingling sensation during injection. Johanna will apply topical numbing cream to ensure you are comfortable throughout the procedure.
When Will I Notice The Results?
Generally, you will notice tightening and improvement in the skin quality and texture as early as two weeks after PRP injections. These results continue to build up with your treatment sessions and even months after.
For PRP hair regeneration, you can expect an improvement in thinning hair as platelets will help to stimulate old and new hair follicles to grow healthy hair. Due to the cycle of hair growth, results may be observed as early as 6 weeks after initial PRP hair injections. You can expect to see continued improvement in hair growth with more sessions as per your individualized treatment plan.
As mentioned above, results can be seen after one treatment, but the exact amount of treatments needed varies. On average 3 treatments are advised, but more may be indicated for some individuals. Results from PRP injections can be extended with proper at-home skincare maintenance and kept up with maintenance treatment with Johanna. Results from PRP injections vary with each individual’s genetics and lifestyle. Your general health and the quality of PRP tubes used makes a difference in the quality of PRP and thus the results.
Is There Any Downtime?
There is no downtime. You may have reddened skin and slight swelling after your PRP treatment that may last as long as 1-2 days. This is normal and to be expected. Healing may take longer if PRP injections are paired with microneedling treatments.
